Colonial Bees is your premier local apiary in James City County and Williamsburg, Virginia. We pride ourselves in harvesting local honey and selling other products from our local bees.  We also offer honey bee removal, and hands on experiences that are guaranteed to be remembered for years to come.  If you have something specific and cannot find it then give us a call.  Because we harvest locally our products don't last long and might be temporarily unavailable depending on the time of year.

I found a large ball of honey bees in a tree, what can I do?

You are probably expierencing one of natures most amazing events.  It is called a swarm.  They are looking for a new home.  It normally occurs between March and June in our area.  Help save them by giving us a call @ 1-757-900-BEES

Do you do sell honey year round?

Yes, we try to leave plenty of honey for our bees but they do produce extra.  Every year is a little different and some years are better than others.  Check out our product page and feel free to call us.

How natural is your honey?

Our honey, is filtered only once and then straight into bottles.  We never heat pasterize or add anything to our honey, and is within 10 miles of James City County, so you can be sure it is filled with local floral flavors and bits of pollen.
